| SRHC Picnic Train - Seymour to Tocumwal |

On Saturday 3rd July 2010 join the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre (SRHC) when the next Tocumwal Picnic Train departs Seymour bound for Tocumwal (NSW) and the Tocumwal Winter Festival.
The diesel hauled Heritage Train will depart Seymour at 8.45 am. Stops will be made at Nagambie (9.10 am), Murchison East (9.32 am) and Shepparton (10.06 am) to pick up passengers.
During the journey a kiosk and bar will be in operation aboard the train providing a range of snacks and refreshments. Special carriages on this train will include State Car No 4 and the former Spirit of Progress Parlor Car. Both of these carriages will be open for inspection during the journey.
The train is scheduled to arrive in Tocumwal at 11.45 am. You will have over 3 ½ hours in Tocumwal to enjoy the town and the Winter Festival.
Tocumwal Winter Festival
The Heritage Train coincides with the Tocumwal Winter Festival. Soon after the arrival of the Heritage Train in Tocumwal there will be a Street Parade through Tocumwal that will include:
- Fergy tractors
- Hot Rods
- Classic Cars
The parade will finish in Anzac Avenue (a short walk from the Tocumwal Station) adjacent to the Foreshore Park where there will be:
- Static displays of engines and collectablesTai Chi Demonstrations / buskers
- Food Stalls
In the Memorial Hall (main street) you can take in the:-
- Wood Turning Display.
- Art and Craft Displays and Demonstrations

Optional Extras
Strathmerton Shuttle
The SRHC will operate a Tocumwal to Strathmerton Shuttle – a short train ride that will depart the Tocumwal station at 12.45 pm and return at 1.45pm.
Cost:
Adults/Seniors - $10
Children - $5
Family (2A 2C) - $25.
May be pre-booked or purchased on the day.
Visit to the Tocumwal Golf Club
If you are interested in visiting the Tocumwal Golf Club then you may wish to book the bus transfer.
Cost: $4 per person.
The departure time for the return journey from Tocumwal is 3.30 pm. |
